Black Arrows are the defending champions of the Brunei National Softball Team and they will be hoping for a victory tomorrow against another favourites Gunners. Yesterday I dropped by the Ong Sum Ping field where BA trained and caught up with their captain Irwan.

He did admit this year is more challenging compared to last year and there has been improvement in terms of batting and fielding. He is quite happy that they have only conceded a few runs throughout the tournament. The losses they suffered during the group stage didn’t seem to affect their confidence. When asked about their upcoming match, Irwan thinks it’s gonna be a tough match but he hopes it to be a high scoring game, just like their game against Banzai.

He is also quite happy with the discipline of his players. The game could boil down to “which team can handle the pressure”. When asked who will win the other semifinals, he predicted for PLK Zombies to go through the finals.
